It’s the New Year and for Hollywood, that means one thing: awards show season! January and February are jam-packed with awards shows recognizing the talented actors and actresses, directors and producers, writers and behind-the-scenes experts who make American TV, movies and music what they are. Luckily, West Hollywood is at the heart of all this exciting action. Read below for information on each show, its location, how to attend and the most convenient West Hollywood hotels to stay in during your visit.
People’s Choice Awards – January 9th
See – The people have spoken and you can tune in on January 9, 2013 to see what Americans think are the Best New TV Comedy, Best Movie Fan Following and more. This year’s ceremony will be held at Nokia Theatre at LA LIVE, just 9 miles from the heart of West Hollywood. Host Kaley Cuoco from “The Big Bang Theory” and performances from Alicia Keys, Jason Aldean and Christina Aguilera will make this a night to remember! Tickets start at $60. Producer’s Guild of America Awards – January 26th

Screen Actors Guild Awards – January 27th
See – The Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) Union represents over 165,000 actors, broadcasters, hosts, journalists, dancers, DJs, writers, editors, singers and more. For the past 19 years, the SAG Awards have been held to honor the best of the best in the Guild. On January 27, 2013, the 19th annual ceremony will be hosted at the Shrine Auditorium & Exposition Center in Downtown Los Angeles, where Dick Van Dyke will accept the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
