Dirk Janssen’s Back in Wonderland Exhibit at Boa Art Gallery
By: Brittany Nicole La HuePositive actions begin with positive feelings. Positive feelings begin with positive thoughts. Back In Wonderland is a revisiting of Dirk Janssens’s self-created world of Love-Art which will be open to the public at the BOA Art Gallery in West Hollywood from July 5th-31st.
Janssens’s works provide a limitless supply of positive reinforcements which are visually and emotionally uplifting in both their aesthetic as well as their message. Dirk brings the often overlooked power of complimentary and words of encouragement to the viewer in a way that is raw, real, and truly inspiring. The contrast of the busy backgrounds and the simplicity of the statements engage the viewer by adjusting their focus between the textual messages amongst the elaborate splay designs and colors; a lesson to take to heart for those who seek clarity amongst the beautiful chaos in our everyday lives. Janssens was a hit with both Belgian and Parisian galleries , and his work was greatly received in New York. His solo show at the CATM Chelsea was extended due to popular demand, and he has been invited to show again this fall.
