In celebration of West Hollywood’s legendary music scene and this summer’s epic music roster, we are giving away eight weekly prizes that include a hotel stay and a music-themed gift. Each of the weekly prizes has a value of $400 or higher, and the impressive line-up of WeHo hotels includes: Le Montrose, Le Parc Suites, Mondrian, the Standard hotel, Chamberlain, Petit Ermitage, Best Western Sunset Plaza and Ramada Plaza West Hollywood.

Grand prize: $5000 Ultimate Rockstar Getaway
Or, songwriters (amateurs and pros) who have a deeper love for West Hollywood are invited to write an original song inspired by West Hollywood and submit a video performance for the chance to win a $5,000 Ultimate Rockstar Getaway prize package that includes $1,000 cash, VIP access to Sunset Strip Music Festival, four nights at the Sunset Marquis hotel, tickets to the Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theater, a rockstar makeover, meals and a VIP tour of Los Angeles.

The original song must include West Hollywood in the lyrics and/or theme. The entries will be judged by a panel of experts from iconic West Hollywood businesses, including Nic Adler, owner of The Roxy Theatre; Chris Cope, head of marketing for the Sunset Marquis hotel; and Julia “Lady J” Gerard, owner of J. Gerard Design Studio and Peace Gallery. Judging will be based on overall impact of original song and how it incorporates West Hollywood into the theme and/or lyrics. The judges will select five finalists whose entries will go to public voting the week of July 23, 2012. A final winner will be selected and announced on July 30, 2012.
