If you still haven’t tried West Hollywood’s newest Mexican grill and tequila bar Tortilla Republic, it’s time you make a well-worth-it trip. Recently named the Los Angeles area’s best place to drink by Forbes magazine, you’ll be delighted with the bar’s extensive tequila list that includes blancos, anejos, reposados and reservas. Try a jalepeno or cucumber lavender margarita, savor exquisite aged tequila or experiment with exotic cocktails like the Aviation (Burnetts gin, Crème de Violet, Luxardo Marachino Liquer, and lemon juice).

With all the drinking, it’s easy to forget that Tortilla Republic has delicious food to boot. Start off with salsa tasting, jicama or duck confit tacos, or ceviche. You’ll even have the option to make your burrito, quesadilla or taco entrée healthier by choosing a mixed salad instead of rice and beans (but come on, who can resist hot and fresh authentic beans and rice?).

Tortilla Republic is open at 11:30 Tuesday – Sunday. Take advantage of Happy Hour from 4-7pm every day, or stay late for a lite menu Friday and Saturday at 11 pm.
