WeHo’s Newest Nightlife: Bootsy Bellows
By: Brittany Nicole La Hue
Attention all clubbers: there’s a new spot in town, and it’s definitely the place to see and be seen. Bootsy Bellows is David Arquette’s (Beacher’s Madhouse) newest project, along with Darren Dzienciol (Trousdale, The Beverly) and John Terzian and Brian Toll (h.wood, SHOREbar). The club gets its name from Arquette’s mother, a former burlesque dancer with the stage name of Bootsy Bellows.
In accordance with the moniker, the venue’s main performance room features a variety of different entertainment, including burlesque shows with women in cat costumes, life-sized puppets, marionettes and jazz bands. A Ricky Ricardo-style stage is surrounded by an LED stalactite light fixture, marble floors, suede couches, and diamond mirrors.
To the left of the main room is the super-exclusive VIP room, which boasts a private bar, a baby grand piano, pink couches and one-way mirrors for surprise performances. If the number of celebrities present at Bellows’ soft opening is any indication of the club’s future success, WeHo is in for another exciting weekend hangout.
