SoCal Social Club

SoCal Social Club

Are you a local looking to meet new friends in the area and explore your hometown? Visiting and want to sightsee and meet some fun, career-oriented West Hollywood residents? Tired of the gay bar scene and want to meet other professionals, artist, entrepreneurs and students? Then SoCal Social Club is for you.

Founded in 2007 by Luciano Costa, SoCal Social Club (SCSC) was designed to be the “leading social club and online networking destination for LGBT professionals” in the Los Angeles area. Costa calls the organization “a digital gay country club in which SCSC functions as a private concierge and social director for its members.” It is important for the group to be sophisticated, welcoming and different from the typical gay nightlife you’d find elsewhere.

Every month, SCSC members can participate in fun social gatherings, active adventures, networking opportunities and so much more. Events take place throughout LA, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, and the surrounding area. Through this diversity, members get to try a variety of different activities, open their minds, advance their careers, make new friends and give back to the community.

Past events have included networking mixers, a monthly rotating supper club, a bike tour of LA, cheese and wine tasting, pool parties, community service projects with Heal the Bay and the LA Regional Food Bank, movie screenings, sunset horseback riding, gay speed dating and Prop 8 and NOH8 rallies.

Online, SoCal Social Club members can also interact with each other and learn about new events and benefits.

Membership is free and is open to professionals, entrepreneurs, freelancers, artists and graduate students aged 21 and up.
