Visit the West Hollywood Filming Locations of Reality TV Shows

Work out, dine, and shop in the footsteps of your favorite reality stars at these local hot spots

We’ll update this list from time to time, so be sure to check back for some new ones!

Celebrities flock to West Hollywood to eat, shop, play, party and take meetings at all sorts of local businesses. You’ve seen these places on reality TV shows, and now your friends can see them on your Instagram.

I must admit, I get a kick out of seeing some of my local spots on my favorite TV shows. My corner coffee house, Urth Caffé, was practically a character in “Entourage”.

Stella McCartney

As seen on royal wedding coverage

The royal wedding of a native Angeleno had everyone asking, “Who will she wear?”  While the Duchess of Sussex opted for Givenchy for her nuptials, she did choose Stella McCartney for the reception and stunned in the shoulder-baring halter style that gave me serious Hollywood Red Carpet feels.

The designer:  The daughter of Sir Paul McCartney and American Linda Louise McCartney, Stella was born and raised in London and the English Countryside.  Her signature style of sharp tailoring, natural confidence and sexy femininity which was on full display at the Royal Wedding. That day, she also dressed Amal Clooney (WeHo note:  Hubby George Clooney is a reported regular of Craig’s on Melrose) and Oprah (WeHo note: She chose West Hollywood when she relocated her team to the West Coast). But I digress. Back to the fashion at hand. Stella also adds that music-heritage cool to her aesthetic at times, as we saw on Miley Cyrus and Paris Jackson at the Met Ball 2018.

Ethos:  Stella is a lifelong vegetarian and does not use any leather or fur in her designs.  Her commitment to sustainability is evident throughout all her collections. She also offers kids wear, menswear, and perfume.

The location:  Stella McCartney has 51 freestanding boutiques in some of the most posh locations in the world including our very own West Hollywood Design District.

As seen on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”

Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, and Dorit Kemsley were dining at Palihouse when an argument sparked the season-long storyline about friendship and jealousy. Differences aside, the sexy al fresco dining room at Mardi with its great drinks and neighborhood atmosphere is a great spot to have a girls’ night out, romantic dinner or even a solo meal with a side of great people watching.

Stay:  The intimate, upscale property offers a mix of studio, and one-and-two-bedroom guest suites as well as loft-style residences all with fully equipped kitchens and open-air plans.  This artsy property is where boutique hotel meets luxury residence.

Dine:  As I mentioned above, Mardi is a great dining spot for visitors and locals alike.  The European -inspired decor lends itself to intimate dining as well as a unique venue choice to host an event.

Rooftop: I love a good LA night under the stars and this rooftop does not disappoint.  Both stylish and discreet, this is a creative space to hold an event with 360 degree views of the West Hollywood village as well as views of the Hollywood Hills.

Training Mate

As seen on “Revenge Body With Khloé Kardashian”

They say living well is the best revenge, and Khloé Kardashian’s “Revenge Body” is dedicated to getting people into their best shape ever. The show often calls upon talented celebrity trainer Luke Milton and his West Hollywood gym to help people shed those unwanted pounds.

About Luke: Luke began his career as a professional rugby player in his native Australia. He honed the high intensity interval training method of Training Mate in Sydney, and then brought the concept to Los Angeles. His style is no-nonsense, fun, and high energy.  You may even spot him in his short rugby shorts if you decide to give his workout a go.

The workout:  Luke marries the team-oriented environment of professional sports with the inclusiveness of the fitness industry’s best offerings.  His “mates” aka the trainers all approach fitness with three pillars in mind: physical, social and mental. The physical is the HIIT approach of the full body workout.  The social aspect is created in the fun, yet challenging, community environment Luke and the mates create here. And when you line those things up, the mental fitness follows.

Try It: Your first class is always free.  Simply click here and use the code “Mate” – no need to even submit an audition tape :).  Not sure which class to try? Here’s a little guide:

  • Thunder Down Under:  This class focuses on the legs and glutes
  • Bondi Burn:  Cardio and strengthening designed to tone the upper body
  • Might Mate:  10 exercises designed to torch up to 1000 calories per session
  • Sydney Circuit:  This combo class offers upper and lower body strength moves + cardio
  • Mel-Burn:  The newest class offers 3 dynamic circuits (upper, lower + cardio)

Shape House

As recently seen on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”

This is the urban sweat lodge concept where you get wrapped up like burrito, lay down and watch your own private TV while the power of a FAR infrared sweat transforms you.

The founder:  Parisian Sophie Chiche is not only the founder, but a walking testament to the power of sweat. She herself used this system to help shed 200 lbs. Yes, she also changed what she ate and took up boxing, but she credits the transformational power of intense sweat with changing her metabolism and melting those pounds away.

The experience:  I went with 3 girlfriends (also Type A workaholics) and we were each given garments to change into and assigned our own sweat concierge who wrapped us in private cocoons and set us up with personal TV’s. I binge watched “Orange is the New Black” while my BFF opted for “Chef’s Table”. It can be a little claustrophobic, but fret not.  Your caretaker will check on you every 20 minutes and toward the end, will apply a cool, lavender soaked towel for your forehead that feels like heaven. Afterward, you are ushered to another lounge with tea and the best tasting orange slices ever.

The benefits:  Sweaters love the changes some of which include weight loss (as in Sophie’s amazing result), glowing skin, better sleep (which also aids in weight loss), cardiovascular fitness and stress reduction. And the luxury of one hour dedicated to your self-care can’t be a bad thing.  We call it Sweatflix & Chill.
