Plan the Ultimate Game Day Weekend in West Hollywood

From professional football and baseball games to national championships and even the upcoming FIFA World Cup and 2028 Summer Olympics, Los Angeles hosts a wide variety of sporting events throughout the year. Thanks to West Hollywood’s central location in the heart of the city, it’s easy to get any of LA’s major venues, like SoFi Stadium, Dodgers Stadium and Crypto.com Arena.

Whether or not you have game tickets — or even if you’re just in it for the parties and snacks — here’s everything you need to plan the ultimate game-day getaway in West Hollywood.

Before a big game — especially for your favorite team — the pre-game ritual is essential. Whether it’s fueling up with a killer breakfast, taking a yoga or spin class at a local gym, treating yourself to a pampering spa day, exploring WeHo street art or taking a hike on one of Los Angeles’ many scenic trails, West Hollywood has everything you need to help you get your game face on.

West Hollywood is known for buzzy nightlife, and we’re also home to a wide range of sports bars for pre-gaming, post-gaming or all of the above.

On Santa Monica Boulevard, LGBTQ-owned 33 Taps serves from-scratch pub fare, wall-to-wall sports and a 33-tap beer lineup. The Rainbow District boasts several other popular sports bars, including Hi Tops and GYM Sportsbar and Grill. The sports are always on and the vibe is always inclusive.

The Naughty Pig and Barney’s Beanery are a few more West Hollywood sports bars to check out.

No weekend in WeHo is complete without a visit to The Sunset Strip. Classic rock ‘n’ roll meets modern luxury in this world-famous nightlife hub. If you’re planning to catch a game on The Strip, head over to the Heartbreak Saloon. This Western-themed sports bar shows every college football and NFL game, along with excellent drink specials and bar snacks like wings and hot dogs.

Keep the party going at Whisky a Go Go, the Viper Room and other famed Sunset Strip venues with live music or DJs most nights. Once your night is over, be sure to grab a cheeseburger or pizza at one of WeHo’s late-night eateries.

A weekend of celebrating can take its toll, but have no fear — West Hollywood is home to many breakfast and brunch spots that can cure even the most severe hangover.

Stroll from your hotel to grab a Brisket Verde Breakfast Burrito at Dialog Café or a stack of OG Oatmeal Griddle Cakes topped with whipped sea-salted butter at Breakfast by Salt’s Cure. And if those don’t do the trick, try a little hair of the dog with a Butcher’s Bloody Mary — garnished with celery, pickles, olives and an optional ham, bacon and grilled cheese sandwich — at The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker.
