The sun may shine year round in West Hollywood, but we’re not immune to a little holiday magic. And as one of LA’s hottest nightlife scenes, we’re always up for a good party. From ugly sweater parties to killer New Year’s Eve celebrations, here’s how to get in the holiday spirit in West Hollywood this year.

Holly Jolly Holiday Bar Pop-Up

E.P. & L.P.’s new second-story restaurant, Bombo, has been transformed into a winter wonderland for the season, complete with glowing candy canes, string of rainbow lights and tinsel dripping from the ceiling. Delight in festive bites and creative holiday cocktails served in kitschy cups (think snowmen and gingerbread houses). A $23 single ticket gets you a 90-minute reservation (including a welcome cocktail or mocktail), and group tables for two to four guests are also available.
Holiday Movies at Melrose Rooftop Theatre

Just upstairs from E.P. & L.P., sink into Melrose Rooftop Theatre’s cushy bean-bag chairs for a month of holiday movies, ranging from feel-good favorites like Elf, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Home Alone to offbeat classics like Die Hard, Gremlins and Bad Santa.
Fleurs et Sel Holiday Cookie Pop-Up

Local baker Lara Adekoya will bring her uber-popular home bakery, Fleurs et Sel, to 1 Hotel this month for a special holiday pop-up. Lara’s cookies have gained a cult following, so keep your eyes peeled and get there fast! New flavors will be released weekly, and you can buy them at the hotel’s lobby restaurant, 1 Kitchen. A portion of sales will benefit the Los Angeles Midnight Mission, and you’ll also be giving back to the local community by supporting a Black-owned business.
Holiday in Candy Land Fairytale

Presented by the City of West Hollywood, this family-friendly holiday extravaganza features whimsical theatrical performances, photos with Santa, face painting and glitter tattoos, and an array of sweet treats for every visitor. There are two shows on each day (morning and afternoon), and the December 2 program will be presented in Russian. Tickets are $55, and children under 2 get in free.
So Fresh, So Clean Holiday Party

This event—also the official birthday party for LA’s DJ R-Tistic—is a sexier spin on your typical holiday party. If you’re not familiar, DJ R-Tistic’s high-energy sets and next-level crowd-reading skills have landed him plum gigs DJing celeb events ranging from Stevie Wonder’s birthday to Issa Rae’s wedding. Hit the dance floor and grind to hip-hop and R&B classics all night, courtesy of DJ R-Tistic and friends. 21+, cocktail attire.
Winter Wonderland at West Hollywood Park

The City of West Hollywood’s second-annual Winter Wonderland will see West Hollywood Park transformed into a winter playground with 20 tons of snow on the Great Lawn! This year, frolic in two snow zones—one for children under 5 and one for ages 6 and up. Other event festivities include crafts, hot cocoa and snacks, performances by community groups and a DJ spinning holiday tunes.
In the event of rain, the event will move to the gym inside the West Hollywood Park Aquatic and Recreation Center (adjacent to the park grounds).

Ugly Sweater Middle Eastern Party by Hump

Iconic gay club Micky’s hosts a Middle Eastern Night every month, but this is the one night of the year when wooly sweaters are the hottest fashion statement—quite literally. Don your ugliest and work up a sweat to the Middle Eastern house grooves of C:3, and stick around for a belly dance show by Sababa Dance crew and other special surprises. Free before 10:30 p.m., then $5 cover.

Dr. Jeri’s Annual Charity Concert & Party to Cure Parkinson’s Disease
