Magical Thinking: Imagining the Future of Design
How will imagination and innovation shape design? That is the question at the heart of Design West Hollywood’s 2026 theme, Magical Thinking. Hear diverse perspectives from the industry’s most inventive minds for a glimpse into the design landscape of tomorrow.

Defined by Design
West Hollywood is where global design trends take shape. Designers, architects, artists, hoteliers and fashion brands from around the world come here to launch collections, exchange ideas and draw inspiration.
Start in the Design District, home to more than 250 showrooms, galleries, boutiques and the iconic Pacific Design Center, designed by acclaimed architect César Pelli. Then venture beyond to discover fashion-forward retailers, style-setting hotels and architecturally significant landmarks like the MAK Center at the Schindler House and Lloyd Wright Studio-Residence. Throughout the city, public art — from murals and sculptures to digital media installations — reinforces West Hollywood’s reputation as one of the world’s leading creative capitals.

Stay in Style
Pair your Design West Hollywood experience with a stay that’s equally design-forward. Choose from 21 hotels where striking architecture and exceptional hospitality create an inspiring setting. From Philippe Starck’s visionary interiors at The Valorian to The London West Hollywood‘s collaboration with Vivienne Westwood, many are design destinations in their own right.
When the sessions end, unwind beside rooftop pools, linger over chef-driven meals, admire gallery-worthy art collections or challenge fellow design lovers to a game of pickleball amid craft cocktails and sparkling Los Angeles skyline views.
